The forest on Kittholmen

The forest on Kittholmen was protected as early as the 1700s. The trees shielded the harbor operations from the harsh winds. Since the forest is still protected, it is the oldest protected forest in Finland.

Old harbour Marina

The marina in the Old Harbour extends along both sides of the harbor bay. The boat berths are rented out by the Center for Technical Services/Municipal Technical Department. Read more and see the map here: » www.jakobstad.fi
